"Artistic expression is the language of the human soul. It comes from within to inform the individual life and has the facility to deliver it's healing medicine directly back to the source. As an alchemical force, art has the power to transmute poisons, turn curses into blessings and change lead into gold"

Expressive Arts

Art is a balm to the soul. Its medicine has the ability to bypass the cognitive mind and deliver it's healing message directly to the source of any issue. Art is also the language of the imagination. The images, poetry, movement or music expressed through the creative process are unique to each individual. These images show up in our lives as guides during troubled times and periods of divine inspiration. The job of the Expressive Arts Therapist is to support this process in an atmosphere of unconditional positive regard, so that together, artist and therapist are guided to the well spring of their individual and collective wisdom.

Myth, Ritual and Ceremony

The business of life is to initiate the soul's evolution ... The great mystic poet Kabir said, "If you have not lived through something, then it is not real." Yet many people have lived through real trials and achieved real successes only to be left with the hollow feeling that nothing significant or lasting has actually taken place. This is largely because the culture, more often than not, has failed to bless and confirm these threshhold moments by marking them with a real and living ritual. Together, with intuition and imagination as our guides and the timeless tools of ritual at our fingertips, we have the power to reclaim those lost or forgotten moments and re-energize the mythic events of our lives.

"This is powerful work. Scott transcends the boxes many contemporary Men's groups try to put us into and grounds himself in the timeless wisdom of indigenous human beings."
